De V55 komt tegemoet aan liefhebbers van de V-klasse die mogelijk op zoek zijn naar een stap hoger in grootte en prestaties, evenals nieuwe Princess-klanten die op zoek zijn naar elegantie en puurheid. De met hars doordrenkte V-romp zorgt niet alleen voor een soepelere, efficiëntere rit maar creëert ook meer ruimte onderdeks. Als aanvulling hierop zijn er twee krachtige Volvo D13-motoren die 2.000 pk leveren met een topsnelheid tot 37 knopen, wat zorgt voor een opwindende tocht, ongeacht het weer.
Kenmerken voor de V Class-reeks zijn de duidelijke, vloeiende lijnen, geaccentueerd door de panoramische mesvormige rompramen die het natuurlijke licht binnenvallen en het interieur openen naar de wereld rondom. Het dynamische profiel van de V55 verbergt een ruim interieur, perfect om te ontspannen of langere ritten te maken in ultiem comfort. Toegang tot het interieur is via het hydraulische zwemplateau, wat leidt tot een teakdek dat door het hele woongedeelte loopt. De cockpit sluit aan op de hoofdsalon via een slim verborgen neerklapbare schuifpui, die beide woonruimtes naadloos integreert. Bovendien kunt u zich met het elektrisch te openen zonnedak boven het hoofddek echt openstellen voor de elementen.
